inp.polri.go.id – The Cilegon Police Women and Children Protection Unit has secured EM (37), a resident of Kedaung Kali Angke Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, who was accused of raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter repeatedly. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Cilegon Police, AKP Muhammad Nandar, explained that the perpetrator had been committing the immoral act since last September. It was also revealed that he did it not only at home, but also in a villa in the Carita area, Pandeglang Regency. AKP Muhammad Nandar continued that on Wednesday (10/26), the mother discovered that her biological daughter has been raped by her husband. "After finding out that her biological child was raped by her husband, she and her family, together with Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment of Serang, reported the husband to the Cilegon Police Headquarters," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilegon Police, AKP Muhammad Nandar, Tuesday (11/1), quoted from poskota.co.id. During the examination, it was revealed that EM raped his stepdaughter for the first time in September when his wife was not at home. The victim admitted that she was forced to obey her stepfather after being threatened. "Because the victim did not report her stepfather to her biological mother, EM raped his stepdaughter repeatedly. Even EM did it in a villa with his stepdaughter and was given Rp200 thousand in money," explained the Cilegon Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head. After getting all the information needed, supported by post-mortem evidence, the Women and Children Protection Unit personnel immediately moved to arrest the suspect at his home. "The suspect is still under intensive investigation. We will know the motive later after the examination is complete," he explained. As a result of his actions, EM charged with Article 81 and or Article 82 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2016 2002 concerning Child Protection with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
