Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri and Jakarta Military Commander Major General Deddy Suryadi inspected a flood evacuation center in North Jakarta on Monday (12/1/2026) to ensure displaced residents receive adequate protection and essential services after heavy rainfall inundated residential areas.

“Police and the military are present to ensure evacuees are properly served, from logistics and security to health conditions,” Chief  Asep said, as cited by antaranews.com.

The visit took place at the Embrio Flats evacuation site in Cilincing, where 643 residents are temporarily sheltering. During the inspection, authorities reviewed living conditions, checked aid distribution, and provided food packages to affected families, including children.

Authorities urged residents to remain vigilant and report emergencies through official channels as response operations continue.
