Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. As the lights of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium begin to glow pink, Jakarta’s security forces prepare for one of the city’s biggest music events of the year.
More than 1,500 personnel have been deployed to secure BLACKPINK’s 2025 World Tour in Jakarta, taking place this weekend at Indonesia’s largest stadium.
“The Metro Jaya Police has assigned 1,243 officers, supported by 132 from Central Jakarta Police, 35 military personnel, and 90 from the city administration,” said Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Head of Public Relations, on Saturday (1/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Security teams are spread across eight entrance zones, covering VIP and VVIP gates, parking areas, and hotels where the artists are staying. Ahead of the concert, bomb squads and K-9 units are conducting full stadium sweeps to ensure the venue is completely safe.
“We prioritize safety through a human-centered approach. No firearms or tear gas are allowed. Our mission is to protect and assist,” Chief Budi said, as reported by antaranews.com.
BLACKPINK’s return to Jakarta marks one of Indonesia’s most anticipated international concerts, drawing thousands of Blackpink fans, known as Blinks, from across the region.
