inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police of Metro Jaya Regional Police will make use of unused land of State Police School (SPN) of Metro Jaya Regional Police in Bogor, West Java, to support the national food security program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.
“The food security program of Metro Jaya Regional Police SPN includes the use of 30.15 hectares which separated into five blocks of A-E,” says Vice Chief of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy on Wednesday (11/13/2024).
In his statement, he explained that of the total area, the land ready for harvest is in Block D and Block E with an area of around 19.37 hectares.
"Priority crops planted include corn, cassava, chili and other food crops," he explained.
Through the utilization of this unused land, Metro Jaya Regional Police hopes to contribute to maintaining national food stability in accordance with police commitment to support the Asta Cita goal of the current government of Indonesia.
At the end of the opportunity he hoped that this initiative could be a model for land use in other government agencies and help strengthen food security in Indonesia.
"This program is expected to have a positive impact on national food security and be an example of productive land use in other institutions," he concluded.
