inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Secretary General of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), Jayadi, revealed that public information disclosure plays an important role in the drug and food monitoring system.
"This is a moment to open up and provide opportunities on how BPOM's monitoring performance can be monitored by the public," he said on Tuesday (11/12/2024).
On his occasion, he explained the policies and strategies carried out by BPOM in strengthening public information transparency that is equitable and just. The strategies include enhancing human resources (HR) and coordination, budget support, and improving information technology.
"Then strengthening services and dissemination of digital and non-digital public information that pays attention to accessibility to vulnerable groups. As well as amplifying, monitoring, and evaluating the information transparency," he said.
Furthermore, for the community and business actors, the public information transparency can realize public accessibility to information on drugs and food, as well as standards and regulations in the field of drugs and food.
"Public information transparency in the field of drugs and food will have a positive impact on public awareness of safe drugs and food. This can be seen from the increase in the value of the public awareness index for safe drugs and food every year," he concluded.
