Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology guaranteed stable telecommunications, especially around Harapan Bangsa Stadium in Aceh, the main venue for the opening of the National Sports Week (PON) XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024.

Deputy Minister Nezar Patria said on Sunday (8/9/2024) that the ministry has enhanced cooperation with several mobile operators to ensure network reliability, which also supports the live broadcast of the PON XXI opening, connecting Aceh and Medan.

"The Ministry team has ensured frequencies from 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz are secure and free from interference," he said, as quoted by  antaranews.com.

He also said that both 5G and 4G networks have been prepared, not just at the main venue but also in other sports arenas and media centers.

PON XXI, officially held from 9 to 20 September 2024, feature 65 sports involving nearly 13,000 athletes, with President Joko Widodo set to open the event on Monday.
