A bus from the Brimob Training Center (Pusdik) Watukosek Porong, carrying 31 students and two teachers from SMAN 1 Porong highschool, was involved in a single-vehicle accident at the Purwodadi toll exit, Pasuruan, on Saturday (1/1/2025), claiming the lives of its driver and one passenger.

"The driver did not survive and has been evacuated to Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang," said East Java Regional Police Head of Highway Patrol Chief Superintendent Hendrix Kusuma Wardhana, as quoted by antaranews com.

The bus was heading to Malang when it crashed into a road barrier near the exit. The surviving passengers were taken to RS Lawang, RS Lawang Medika, and RS Prima Husada hospitals for medical checks.

Authorities temporarily closed KM 72 of the toll road to remove a fallen directional sign damaged in the crash.
