Inp.polri.go.id - Oksibil - After a series of attacks by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the districts of Serambakon and Oksibil on September 18 and 19, 2023, community life in Oksibil, located in the Bintang Mountains regency in Papua, has resumed without disruption. Senior Superintendent Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, the Chief of the Damai Cartenz Operation, confirmed that the security situation in Oksibil has been stable with offices, banks, markets, schools, hospitals, and flights returned to normal operations. "We must collectively uphold security in this region," he said on Friday (29/9/2023). Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, the Spokesperson for the Damai Cartenz Operation, expected local communities and authorities to support the Indonesian National Police (INP)  and the Indonesian Military  in maintaining public order. "We hope everyone continue to maintain security, and we greatly appreciate the assistance of the local community and government in supporting the security forces of the INP and the Indonesian Military in ensuring that public order remains intact," he said. Agus Hadi, Head of the Oksibil Airport Management Unit, noted that flight services, including cargo and passenger flights, have been functioning normally, with plans for continued expansion.
