Inp.polri.go.id – North Kalimantan. The North Kalimantan Regional Police destroys 961 liquor bottles and secures three suspects.

“This termination demonstrates our commitment in eradicating liquor flow,” said the Vice Head of North Kalimantan Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate, Senior Superintendent Taufik Herdiansyah.

The operation of liquor raids previously was conducted by the police. The raid started when locals reported about a liquor selling place. Police then immediately went to the location, which is the rented house of one of the suspects, ZA. At the location, police found hundreds of liquor bottles.

Other than confiscating hundreds of liquors at the location, police also secure three suspects which are ZA, RS, and MS. Another suspect with the initials of HF is still on the run.

Suspects will be charged with Article 106 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law.

“Those articles regulate the prohibition of illegal selling and its punishment,” said Taufik.

He then stressed that his party is committed to act firmly against anyone who dares selling illegal items, such as liquors.
