Inp.polri.go.id – North Sulawesi. The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Yudhiawan Wibisono and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum in this morning visits Sitaro Island Regency in Tagulandang Island.

The Regional Leadership Coordination Forum will review directly the location affected by the Ruang Mountain eruption while also providing aid to the victims.

Following the blast on the night of Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, 833 people or 301 families living in Laing Patehi Village and Pumpente Village were evacuated from Ruang Island.

Moreover, the eruption has affected a total of 12,476 people and 3,598 of them are forced to be evacuated. In addition, the eruption also damaged 3,908 houses in Ruang Island and Tagulandang Island.
