Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  A delegation from the North Sumatera Regional Police traveled to Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, to bolster knowledge and cooperation in tourism security management. 

Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi, the North SUmatera Regional Police Head of Public Relations explained that the visit aimed to study organizational structures, operational standards, and cooperation among governments, police, and tourism authorities in maintaining security and order.

Led by Deputy Director of  Vital Object Security Superintendent Yudhi Pinem, the six-person team visited the RCMP office and Whistler Municipality to study organizational structures and operational standards. 

The police delegation engaged with indigenous communities to understand RCMP's role as a liaison.

Observations included sky patrol procedures on Whistler Mountain and testing SAR equipment at Whistler Search and Rescue. Joint patrols were conducted to learn firsthand security practices in tourist areas. 

The trip aimed to broaden insights and foster international cooperation in tourism and security, Chief Hadi said.
