"We urge residents to secure their homes before traveling and entrust them to neighbors or relatives," said Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Adi Prabowo, the Head of Public Relations for Papua Police, as reported by antaranews.com. With increased passenger traffic at airports and seaports across Papua, patrols have been intensified to maintain safety and control, he explained. "Our goal is a peaceful Eid al-Fitr celebration, and we encourage community involvement in neighborhood watch programs," Chief Benny emphasized, underlining efforts to prevent criminal activities, especially theft.
