Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) attacked a security post after the Damai Cartenz Task Force detained Bui Wonda, alias Bossman Wenda, for weapons and ammunition investigation at 10 am on Monday (8/4/2024).
Led by Undius Kogoya, they later assaulted a post near Bank Papua in Sugapa, Intan Jaya, Central Papua, at around 2 pm.
Superintendent Dr. Bayu Suseno, the Head of Public Relations for Damai Cartenz Operation 2024, said, "We detained a man suspected to be a KKB member named Bui Wonda triggering the attack."
The BPD post was severely damaged, but task force members were unharmed.
However, two children were reportedly shot around 2.30 pm. The Task Force transported the victims to Bilogai Community Health Center for medical treatment.
"We will continue to pursue the perpetrators of this attack, ensuring that those involved are held accountable," Chief Bayu emphasized.
