inp.polri.go.id - Aceh. The Drug Criminal Investigation of Aceh Reginoal Police uncovers a marijuana field plantation of 25 hectares in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh. The field was spread into eight locations in three villages.
The Director of the Drug Criminal Investigation, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso says that the investigators have arrested Yusni Hidayat and Khairul Mazikin in this case.
Eko says that Yusni acts as the courier while Khairul is the one who packaged the weed.
Eko states that the uncovering begins with information relating to the Aceh-North Sumatra drug trafficking of Marijuana in May 2025. Following this information, police found that Yusni moved the package with his friend, Muhammad Ramadan.
“On May 22, 2025, we found a car carrying the weed as we followed them and rammed them,” says Eko on Tuesday (6/24/2025).
Following the chase, the car managed to escape until finally the car was found in a coffee plantation in Sidodadi Village, Bandar, Bener Meriah, Aceh without the two perpetrators. The investigation team immediately conducted a search inside the car and found around 7 kilograms of weed and outside the car found 20 packages of dried marijuana weighing 20 kg.
The investigation team conducted a development and finally arrested Yusni on June 16, 2025 in Banda Sakti City, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. From the results of the interrogation, the evidence of 27 kg of dried marijuana belonged to Fauzan alias Podan who is now on the wanted list (DPO).
On the other hand, Muhammad Ramadan is also listed on the wanted list as he managed to escape from the car chase and police are now pursuing him.
"Fauzan ordered Yusni and Muhammad Ramadhan to deliver the weed to Siantar, North Sumatra with a promised wage of IDR 300,000 per kilogram," he explained.
He further stated that the suspect Yusni also provided information that there was a marijuana field belonging to Fauzan in the villages of Blang Meurandeh and Kuta Teungoh. From the results of the operation, a total of 8 marijuana fields were found with an estimated land area of ± 25 hectares and an estimated age of plants ranging from 4 - 6 months with an average plant height of around 1.5 - 2 meters as much as ± 960,000 marijuana plants weighing + 180 tons.
"The marijuana fields were destroyed on June 23 and 27, 2025," he said.
For their actions, suspects are charged with multiple charges with a maximum punishment of death penalty and a fine of IDR 10 billion
