Inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. The Manokwari Sub-regional Police in West Papua are pursuing a suspect involved in the robbery and abduction of a 38-year-old woman identified as AGT, the wife of an employee of the Manokwari Tax Office. 

The incident occurred in Reremi, West Manokwari District, on Monday afternoon.

“We have identified the suspect and are conducting searches in several locations. The victim’s condition is still unknown,” said Manokwari Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Agung Gumara Samosir on Tuesday (11/11/2025). “We’ve deployed multiple personnel, including K-9 units.”

The case was first reported by the victim’s husband around 6 pm local time after returning from work. Investigators have recovered the victim’s mobile phone from an abandoned house near the crime scene and questioned a pickup truck driver allegedly contacted by the suspect using the victim’s phone.

Police are working with the West Papua Regional Police to locate the victim and arrest the suspect. 

“We urge residents to remain calm and report any leads immediately,” Chief Agung said, as reported by antaranews.com.
