inp.polri.go.id - West Java. The Garut Sub-regional Police is contributing to efforts to achieve national food security. Through its Human Resources (HR) Division, they planted corn on 1.5 hectares of land in Wangunjaya Village, Banjarwangi District, Garut Regency, on Sunday (8/3/2025).
This planting activity took place on land owned by the Jaya Mandiri Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) and involved various parties, including the Forkopimcam (Village Leadership Communication Forum), community members, smallholder farmers, and agricultural extension workers.
This activity demonstrated the strong synergy between the police and the community in supporting government programs.
The Head of the Garut Sub-regional Police Human Resources Division, Police Senior Inspector Wien Christyaningsih, explained that this activity was not just about planting corn, but also an effort to strengthen the relationship between the Indonesian National Police and the community.
"This corn planting is part of our real contribution to supporting national programs and building harmonious relationships with residents," said the Head of the Garut Sub-regional Police HR Division.
The active participation of various community elements in this activity demonstrates a positive response to the food security program.
Collaboration between the government, security forces, and the community is expected to increase agricultural productivity and food security in Garut Regency.
