Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A collaborative effort from the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police has led to the re-arrests of two detainees who recently escaped from the Tanah Abang Metropolitan Police Office, with one remaining at large.
"We have re-arrested Harisquallah Arrahman and Welen Saputra Thio at two separate locations," said Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro on Wednesday (13/3/2024).
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Police, Superintendent Chandra Mata Rohansyah, confirmed the re-arrest of two escaped detainees at different locations, as reported by antaranews.com.
Harisqullah was re-arrested in Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra, while Welen was in the Tajur Halang area of Bogor, West Java.
"Only Renal remains, whom we are still pursuing with a joint team formed by the Central Jakarta Police, consisting of the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Narcotics Unit," Chief Susatyo said.
Sixteen detainees escaped from the Tanah Abang Police Office in the early hours of 29 February 2024. They managed to flee by sawing through the bars of the bathroom window. The police have re-arrested 15 of them.
