Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) announced that online gambling transactions were reduced to Rp 155 trillion in 2025, down sharply from Rp 359 trillion in 2024.
PPATK Chief Ivan Yustiavandana said on Tuesday (4/11/2025) that the decline reflects stronger coordination among state institutions to curb the illicit money flow.
“Last year, the figure reached Rp 359 trillion. As of the fourth quarter this year, we’ve managed to push it down to Rp 155 trillion,” he said, as reported by antaranews.com.
Ivan revealed that without intervention, the circulation could have soared to over Rp 1,100 trillion. Deposits linked to online gambling also dropped by half, from Rp 51 trillion in 2024 to Rp 24 trillion this year.
Most players, he added, earn less than Rp 5 million per month. PPATK continues to coordinate with ministries and the Anti–Money Laundering Committee to mitigate the social and financial harms of online gambling.
