Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo will officially kick off the Sail Teluk Cenderawasih 2023 event on November 1st, an official said on Sunday (8/10/2023). Velix Vernando Wanggai, who works in the Vice President's Secretariat, revealed about the plan during his speech at the 2023 Sail Teluk Cenderawasih (STC) Cultural Art Enchantment and the Launching of the STC Board Promotion in Jakarta. "We want to host more national events in Papua that can help its development," he said. Velix expressed hope that more event organizers would choose Papua as their location, which would bring unity to the government's efforts and help Papua's economy grow. "This approach will coordinate efforts to speed up Papua's development, including programs, rules, cultural initiatives, and cooperation among its six provinces," he added. The Sail Teluk Cenderawasih 2023, taking place from November 1st to 7th, 2023 in Biak Numfor, is a vital national program. It plays a crucial role in promoting tourism and protecting Indonesia's maritime sovereignty in the Pacific region.
