inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo says that he will be at his Nusantara Capital City’s (IKN) office on July 28th, 2024.

“The plan is that on 28th July, he will inaugurate a toll road and review the new capital city. We, along with the Ministry for Public Works and Human Settlements and Presidential Staff will prepare every need for the President to be finally able to work in IKN,” said the Head of Presidential Staff Heru Budi Hartono at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (7/24/2024).

However, he cannot confirm if Jokowi will continue to work in IKN or he will continue to swap places between IKN and Jakarta in governing the country.

On the other hand, besides preparing for the president’s office, his party also prepares all preparation related to the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony in IKN and Jakarta.

“Obviously we are fully concentrated in preparing for that occasion. So, after 28th July, the President probably will visit IKN before the independence day because he still has several activities,” explained Heru.

Regarding the details of the independence day ceremony, Heru says that the government will soon hold a press conference by the end of July.
