Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s prosecutors have named 18 corporations that allegedly benefited from a massive corruption scheme involving crude oil and refinery product management between 2018 and 2023.

The revelation came during the indictment hearing of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional’s former Vice President for Feedstock Management, Agus Purwono, at Jakarta’s Corruption Court on Monday (13/10/2025).

“Agus unlawfully enriched himself, others, and several corporations, causing significant losses to the state,” prosecutor Andi Setyawan told the court, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The firms reportedly gained hundreds of millions of dollars through crude oil export and import irregularities. Beneficiaries included PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd, Petronas Carigali Ketapang II Ltd, BP Singapore Pte Ltd, Vitol Asia Pte Ltd, and Glencore Singapore Pte Ltd.

Prosecutors estimated total state losses at Rp285.18 trillion ($18.3 billion). Five defendants, including executives from Pertamina’s subsidiaries and shipping contractors, face corruption charges under Indonesia’s anti-graft law.
