Protecting Witnesses and Victims in Disclosure of Cases, Riau Islands Regional Police Chief Accepts the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency's Work Visit

inp.polri.go.id – Batam. Riau Islands Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Aris Budiman, received an Audience and Gathering from the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency, Edwin Partogi Pasaribu, in the Riau Islands Regional Police Chief's office, Tuesday (12/28/2021). Present at the event were the Riau Islands Regional Police Chief, the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency, members and the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency team, and the Main Officer of the Riau Islands Regional Police. On that occasion, the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency thanked the Head of the Riau Islands Regional Police for receiving his visit to the Riau Islands Regional Police, his visit to the Riau Islands Province to fulfil a request letter by the Riau Islands Provincial Secretary regarding the problem of one of the schools that violated the Indonesian education sector. "Following up on this, we will coordinate with the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Riau Islands Regional Police regarding cases at the Riau Islands Regional Police for the protection of witnesses and victims as well as coordination with the Riau Islands Provincial Education Office," explained the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency. Responding to this, the Riau Islands Regional Police Chief said, related to the case presented earlier regarding the problem at one of the schools in Batam City, the case has been handled according to the procedure, and the case is still ongoing. Furthermore, the Indonesian Red Cross ship that sank in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is still being investigated more deeply about the Indonesian Red Cross' problem. "The Riau Islands Regional Police are ready to help you and your mother to coordinate related to the criminal acts that we handle at the Riau Islands Police and other ranks," said the Riau Islands Regional Police Chief.
