Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Politica Indicator Survey shows an increase in public trust in the Indonesian National Police (INP). The survey conducted on 11-17 April 2023 showed public confidence in INP of 73.2%.

"Public trust in INP continues to move positively. Most recently, the figure has increased again, to 73.2 percent," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi in his presentation on Sunday (30/4/23).

According to him, one of the reasons underlying the increase in trust in the INP is the impact of the Chief of Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo's firm action on the generals who were embroiled in cases. The INP, he explained, was also neutral by not protecting its officers from maximum legal entanglements.

In the previous survey, the level of public trust in the police in February 2023 only touched 70.8%. That is, in a span of at least two months, there has been a significant increase.

"There are 71.5% of the public who are satisfied with the police's performance in building communication with residents. There are also 73.6% who are satisfied with the Police's efforts to maintain security and public order," he said.

This Indicator Survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews. The number of respondents was 1,220 respondents with an error tolerance of 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
