inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Religion Ministry Nasaruddin Umar says there is no additional quota for pilgrims and pilgrim officers from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to the Indonesian Government for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
“Indonesian pilgrim quota is 221,000 as in accordance with the information from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah,” says Minister Umar on Monday (12/30/2024). He adds that the quota for the pilgrim officers is 2,210.
He also noted that the number of Indonesian pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage are decreasing compared to the previous year. Therefore, Minister Umar will try to negotiate with the Saudi Arabian Ministry to give Indonesia the additional quota.
"The quota (for Hajj officers) is not ideal for us considering that the number of Hajj pilgrims who must be served is 221,000 people. Therefore, we will continue to strive to obtain additional quotas of officers as in previous years," explained the Minister of Religion.
In the 2024 Hajj, Indonesia received a quota of 241 thousand pilgrims. While the Hajj officers were 4,421 people.
The number was obtained after the government received an additional quota of pilgrims and pilgrim officers from the Saudi Arabian Government.
