Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  The Bandung City Sub-regional Police have named six suspects in the assault case against a stadium steward following the match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on 23 September 2024.

Bandung Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Kusworo Wibowo, said on Thursday (26/9/2024) that the suspects were identified through witness testimonies, CCTV footage, and other evidence.

The suspects, who come from diverse backgrounds, had various roles during the incident, such as kicking, hitting, and vandalizing stadium property. 

“They include students and workers, each with different motives and actions,” Chief Kusworo said, as reported by antaranews.com..

One steward remains under intensive care at Otista Regional Hospital due to head injuries, while eight others were treated and discharged. 

Chief Kusworo emphasized strict legal measures against the perpetrators, citing the need to set a strong example against violence in football.

The suspects face charges under Article 170 of the Criminal Code for assault, with a potential sentence of up to seven years, or nine years if the assault results in serious injury.
