Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Social Affairs, Syaifullah Yusuf, praised the Indonesian National Police (INP) for their rapid response to the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta that injured dozens of students during Friday prayers.

“I thank the INP Chief and all ranks for their real actions in the field,” he said Sunday (9/11/2025) after visiting victims at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ) in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Minister Syaifullah praised INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for deploying doctors, psychologists, and trauma support teams, and for initiating repairs to the school mosque where the blast occurred. 

“These efforts are crucial to ensure classes can resume soon,” he added.

Minister Yusuf urged the public not to speculate about reports that the suspect perpetrator was a bullied student, emphasizing the need to prevent bullying nationwide.

According to official data, 96 people were injured in the blast, with 67 already discharged and 29 remain under medical care.
