Inp.polri.go.id – Lumajang. The Social Minister Tri Rismaharini will prepare call sign around Semeru Mountain. The Social Ministry will guide the Regency Government of Lumajang to prepare it.

“We have coordinated with the social office, local government, and disaster response officials to map the area around Semeru Mountain who has the high potentials of disaster such as eruptions, flash floods of cold lava, or landslides," said Social Minister Risma in a press release, Tuesday (4/23/24).

The flash flood of cold lava previously occurred on April 18th, 2024. The flood went through dozens of villages and decimated many infrastructures including bridges, roads, and public facilities. The incident also reportedly killed three people.

Risma has also given aid to families killed by the disaster as well as folding mattresses for refugees in various refugee camps.

“We have also opened the public kitchen of the Taruna disaster response of Lumajang Regency, which operated since April 19th,” said Risma.
