Inp.polri.go.id – South Sumatra. Personnel of South Sumatra Regional Police have successfully revealed the warehouse allegedly used to store the fuel oil from illegal drilling in Keramasan, Palembang City, on Sunday (4/28/2024).

Joint personnel of Sub-directorate IV of South Sumatra Regional Police, Palembang Sub-regional City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kertapati Sector Police, and Palembang civil service police unit are involved in uncovering the warehouse.

The warehouse location is said to be hidden behind a zinc fence where suspects stored the illegal Diesel from Musi Banyuasin.

The information regarding the suspicious activity came from the public. Upon hearing the news, police immediately dispatched to carry out further investigation which eventually led to the raid on the warehouse.

Unfortunately, upon the police arrival, the warehouse is already empty. “During our raid, the warehouse was already empty. No one is inside the warehouse and we also did not find the fuel oil,” said Superintendent Bagus Suryo Wibowo, the Head of Sub-directorate IV of South Sumatra Regional Police.

The warehouse was then taken down by the police while its owner is being investigated thoroughly. The step taken is part of police effort in eradicating illegal activities of hoarding and illegal selling of fuel oil in South Sumatra.
