inp.polri.go.id - Tanimbar. The Tanimbar Islands Sub-regional Police nurture and cleans the corn fields at the backyard of Tanimbar Islands Sub-regional Police HQ.

This activity is in line with the police's efforts to support the National Asta Cita program initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, with the aim of strengthening Food Security and improving the economy throughout Indonesia, especially in the Tanimbar Islands Regency.

The maintenance of the corn fields includes cleaning the weeds, loosening the soil and watering regularly to ensure optimal growth. This step is certainly not only aimed at obtaining better harvest results, but can also be an example for the Community to be able to utilize the empty land they have for productive agriculture.

Head of the HR Unit of Tanimbar Island Sub-regional Police, Police Senior Inspector Simson Kormasela says that the effort of nurturing the corn field is a demonstration of police commitment in realizing food security in prioritizing the optimal and sustainable use of corn fields both at the local and national levels.

"Hopefully this step can be an example for the community to be able to utilize empty land in boosting food security and creating economic value for their families," explained Simson Kormasela.

Simson also said that this activity was an effort to clean up corn fields with the hope that this activity could have a positive impact on the community for better food security and the realization of community welfare.
