Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Supreme Court has suspended judges and a court clerk named as suspects in a Rp 60 billion bribery case linked to the acquittal in a major crude palm oil (CPO) corruption trial.

“The judges and court clerk will be temporarily suspended, and if found guilty, they will be dismissed permanently,” said Supreme Court spokesperson Yanto on Monday (14/4/2025).

The suspension will be proposed to President Prabowo Subianto following official detention and suspect status.  Yanto said that permanent dismissal would follow a final conviction, according to antaranews.com.

The accused judges—Djuyamto, Agam Syarif Baharuddin, and Ali Muhtarom—were part of the panel that issued the controversial release. They are detained at Salemba Detention Center.

Attorney General’s Office (AGO) investigators allege the judges received bribes through Muhammad Arif Nuryanta, then Deputy Chief of Central Jakarta District Court. Court clerk Wahyu Gunawan and two corporate lawyers, Marcella Santoso dan Ariyanto, allegedly helped facilitate the payment. All of them were also suspects.
