inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. During the indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF), the Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi conveys the importance of investment improvement in the clean energy sector to push sustainable economic development.

“Renewable energy is the future. Energy is not a commodity anymore, but a driving force for economic growth,” says Retno on Sunday (9/8/2024).

According to her, many countries are galloping towards the law carbon economy, including Indonesia who wants to take part in this sector.

“Continuous development is the key for the prosperity of our future. Indonesia continues to use diplomacy to push sustainable efforts and global cooperation to achieve the SDGs," she explained.

Furthermore, she says it is important for Indonesia to follow up on the Paris Agreement where with the global economy changes, diplomacy will play a vital role in realizing a sustainable future.

“Of all the initiatives, our message is clear. We have to ensure that green technologies are used by the public,” conclude Minister Retno.
