Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri and Indonesian Military Force (TNI) of Cenderawasih Regional Commander Mayor General Izak Pangemanan signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) aimed to improve security ahead Election. Mathius welcomes initiatives of Head Bureau Ops of Indonesian National Police (INP) in arranging the cooperation between the two Indonesian security institutions. The signing hopefully solidified Indonesian security institutions in bringing peace and security to Papua as Mathius hopes that the Cooperation Agreement would be the basis in a more effective and efficient cooperation. “With the signing, we hope all issues that arise could be overcome together,” Mathius said. He also conveyed his hope for 2024 Elections to be held smoothly, graciously, peacefully, and successfully. In realizing his hope, he invites all TNI-INP members to maintain their commitment in safeguarding and unbiased during election. “We cannot stand alone, we have always been working together with TNI,” he reveals.
