Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department personnel evacuated two victims of a collapsed building on Amil Wahab Street 7-17 in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, on Saturday (27/4/2024).

"There are two victims trapped under the rubble; one deceased and one injured," said Gatot Sulaeman, the Head of Operational Section of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department.

He explained that the deceased victim, Giri Supandi (22), suffered a broken neck, right leg, and ribs, while the injured victim, Waslam (64), suffered a broken right leg, as reported by antaranews.com

The injured victim was taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

"Both incidents occurred during building renovation, when the victims were struck by the building wall," he said.

The fire department received the alert at 9.49 am and its five officers reached the scene, evacuating both victims by 10.05 am.
