Due to bad weather, the evacuation team of the helicopter crash in the jungles of the Kerinci mountains, Jambi has arranged weather modification to reach the site and evacuate the helicopter crews and passengers from the Jambi Regional Police, including Head of Jambi Regional Police Inspector General Rusdi Hartono.

"The weather modification is administered to facilitate clear visibility to enable the evacuation team to to reach the site," said Chief of the INP General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the INP Headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/2/23).

The team has also been opening up an alternative land route to anticipate possible land evacuation, he added.

The general said that the evacuation team has been attempting to carry out the evacuation as soon as possible since the crash victims require immediate medical treatments.

"Our wounded colleagues are our top priority. We have been mapping the nearest and safest route to carry out the evacuation. We ask your prayers for a safe and successful evacuation," he concluded.
