Inp.polri.go.id – Bandung. The West Java Regional Police uncovers fertilizer theft and embezzlement syndicate and named five suspects. This was confirmed by West Java Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ibrahim Tompo in Bandung.
"They were arrested on January 6th, 2024. They did their crime by changing the fertilizer distribution document with fertilizer expenditure application system. They abuse it the system with fake orders. Then, they delete the fertilizer expenditure report in that app," told Ibrahim on Saturday (1/12/2024).
Ibrahim continued that the police along with the management of Pupuk Kujang were able to identify the suspects with warehouse CCTV.
"We were able to arrest a suspect with the initial of S. After we interrogated him, we were able to arrest four other suspects with the initials of EP, R, AF, and AA," said Ibrahim.
Police report says suspects have embezzled 125 tons of Kujang Fertilizer, resulting a total loss reaching up to IDR 654,495,475.
