Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The East Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police have named a 31-year-old woman  as a suspect in a domestic violence case for dragging her husband with her car outside an apartment in Ceger, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Friday (20/12/2024).

East Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Nicolas Ary Lilipaly revealed that the case began with victim AG suspecting his wife, identified as MS,  of having an affair. When he tracked her location and confronted her at the scene, she refused to let him into her car and drove off despite AG partially entering the vehicle.

As a result, he was dragged approximately 200 meters before falling, suffering severe injuries, including a broken leg.  The suspect either stopped to help nor responded to his calls and messages. 

To date, she has not inquired about her husband's condition or the wellbeing of their children, who remain under his care, according to antaranews.com.

Suspect MS has been charged under Article 44(2) of Law No. 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
