Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  The Indonesian Military (TNI) has questioned more than 24 people in connection with the death of Second Private Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo, a newly enlisted soldier who allegedly suffered abuse by senior personnel in Nagekeo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Indonesian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana said those examined include suspected perpetrators and witnesses.

“All are being questioned to establish the facts and level of involvement. Once evidence is confirmed, legal proceedings will follow in line with regulations,” he said in Bandung, Friday (8/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Investigations are being led by the TNI Police Detachment (Denpom) in Kupang, under Udayana Military Command. The Army expressed deep condolences and pledged transparency in the case.

Private Lucky, who joined the Army in May 2025, died on 6 August 2025 after four days of intensive care at Aeramo General Hospital. He had been stationed in Yonterrab 834 Waka Nga Mere, Nagekeo, just two months into service.
