The acting governor of Central Papua, Ribka Haluk invites the people of Intan Jaya regency to live in harmony and united in supporting the government rebuilding the region. “On Wednesday (1/24/2024), we have held meeting with all related stakeholders, discussing on how to overcome the issues in Intan Jaya,” says Ribka Haluk on Saturday (1/27/2024). Ribka continued that his parties hoped that the conflict in Intan Jaya would immediately cease. “We invite all regional heads, particularly the Intan Jaya government, to focus in rebuilding the region and improve the welfare of its citizen,” says Ribka. Moreover, Ribka explains that the conflict has disrupted public security, halting all public activities altogether. “The effect of this conflict has caused all flights to be cancelled, diminishing our food supplies,” Ribka told. Ribka adds that the meeting has pledged several points that aims to stop the conflict. “We cannot let this problem to prolonged, which is why through this meeting we made a pledge to resolve the conflict,” calls Ribka. Furthermore, Ribka also urge the people of Central Papua to not be swayed by hoax news that threaten the unity of the community. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
