inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. The Bomb Detachment Unit of 2024 Turangga Mantap Brata Ops sterilized East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) General Election Commission (KPU) ahead of the governor candidate registration for the 2024 Regional Head Election.

The activity was led by First Police Inspector Jhonry Suryanto and has the goal of ensuring all corners of the office are free from dangerous threats.

“The sterilization effort is part of our preventive measures that are important to ensure security and comfort during the election process. The sterilization activity is not only involving the bomb detachment unit, but also the Vital Object Security Directorate and K9 units,” says Jhonry.

The bomb detachment unit, led by the Second Police Inspector Falerio, conducts a thorough inspection to various rooms and strategic areas using special detection equipment to detect hazardous and dangerous materials. Meanwhile, personnel from the vital object security were maintaining security around vital KPU objects, and the K9 Unit is deployed to detect threats that are beyond the reach of ordinary technology.

With the collaboration between the bomb detachment unit, vital object security directorate, and K9 units, the NTT Regional Police is optimistic that the security in the General Election Commission Office will be guaranteed.
