Inp.polri.go.id - Surakarta. The ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) has praised the execution of the 2024 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in Surakarta.

"The facilities at this Peparnas meet international standards," said APSF Secretary-General Wandee Tosuwan in Solo, Central Java, on Tuesday (8/10/2024). 

He also praised the opening ceremony held at Manahan Stadium last weekend, calling it "very extravagant," as quoted by antaranews.com.

Tosuwan noted significant improvements in facilities for athletes with disabilities in Indonesia compared to two years ago. 

"Having visited Indonesia two years ago, I see drastic changes in facilities here. I hope many international events will be held here in the future," he added.

Indonesia’s National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Chairman Senny Marbun confirmed that the facilities are indeed suitable for Peparnas.
