Bengkulu Regional Police Provided 276 Hectares of Land in Support Asta Cita Food Security Program

“Our activity today is the inauguration of food security task force in support of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka program, and here we have provided a land of 276 hectares for it,” said Bengkulu Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Anwar.

This activity was carried out simultaneously throughout the province, specifically in Bengkulu City. The planting of corn seeds in Bengkulu City was carried out over a land area of ​​five hectares.

For other areas in Bengkulu Province, planting of secondary crops and vegetables to support the food security program will be carried out gradually.

"Three months ago we started planting dryland rice and have harvested it in Kepahiang Regency and Rejang Lebong Regency. For supervision, we work together with related parties such as the Food Security Service," he added.

The acting governor of Bengkulu, Rosjonsyah says that in the meantime, he will issue a circular to all regents and mayors in Bengkulu to list unused lands.

On the other hand, the Chief of Bengkulu City Sub-regional Police, Senior Superintendent Deddy Nata says that the corn seeds will be harvested in the next 75 days, and his party will replant various types of seeds such as corn, melon, cucumber and others.

The harvest will be handed over to the farmer groups in the area which will then be sold on the market.
