inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) together with the Drug Eradication Desk have stopped the circulation of money for drug purchases approximately IDR 1 trillion, along with 1.2 tons of drugs.
Head of BNN Marthinus Hukom said that the cessation of the circulation of drug shopping money was the impact of the confiscation of 1.2 tons of narcotics evidence from the disclosure of 14 cases and the arrest of 37 suspects during February 2025.
"This demonstrates the success of our policy, collaborative strategies, and strengthening intelligence," said Marthinus at a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR in Jakarta, on Monday (5/5/2025).
He detailed that the 1.2 tons of narcotics evidence that was confiscated included 894.3 kilograms of marijuana, 201.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and 303,188 ecstasy pills.
In addition, the value of assets that were successfully uncovered from the case and successfully confiscated by BNN was recorded at IDR 25.48 billion.
He explained that the drug cases uncovered during that period involved networks that were interconnected between countries, islands, and provinces.
"Some of the networks that were successfully uncovered were the Malaysia-Aceh network, the Malaysia-Medan network, the Malaysia-West Kalimantan network, the Aceh-Medan-Jambi and Java Island network, the Balikpapan-Samarinda and Java Island network, and the Mojokerto-Madura network," he said.
