inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) distributed basic necessities such as basic necessities, ready-to-eat food and also evacuation necessities including mattresses, blankets and tarpaulins to flood-affected residents on Monday (3/3) afternoon.

BNPB ensures that there is sufficient logistical assistance for basic necessities for thousands of flood victims in South Jakarta.

"If there is a shortage, you can ask for more, we are ready to help," said BNPB Deputy for Emergency Response Lukmansyah on Tuesday (3/4/2025).

Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) RI Hidayat Nur Wahid was present at the distribution of logistical assistance from BNPB and also directly reviewed the flood-affected locations in densely populated residential areas in Rawajati Village, Pancoran District, South Jakarta.

He ensured that BNPB would immediately map out flood mitigation steps so that similar disasters would not recur in the future or at least reduce the impact caused.

Based on temporary data from BNPB, the flood affects 485 families or 1,446 people and 224 houses in Rawajati Village, South Jakarta, which were submerged in floods with a water level of 50 centimeters-1.5 meters.

In the near future, BNPB will hold a coordination meeting with regional apparatus organizations in Jakarta and other related parties focused on solving problems related to the main causes of the flood.

"This flood is not like the usual. Usually it recedes in 4-5 hours but this afternoon it has not receded either. It is hoped that after a solution is found, the risk will not be too great," said the Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI.
