inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman announced that there is a Vietnamese cattle investor who wants to invest in Indonesia. The beef, says Andi, is needed for President Prabowo Subianto's free nutritious meal program.
“There is a Vietnamese cattle investor who takes interest in us, and we will follow up on this. We will make sure that it would be easy for them to invest in Indonesia,” says Andi on Thursday (10/31/2024).
However, Andi says that the number of cattle investments will still have to look at the land that can be prepared by the country. On this matter, his party will coordinate with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning to prepare the lands.
Furthermore, he mentioned, currently the land available for the imported cattle is in Poso, Central Sulawesi. In addition, there is also one in South Kalimantan.
At the end of the opportunity, he explained the area of land in Poso, reaching 12,000 hectares. "In South Sulawesi there is a space of land of 20,000 to 30,000 hectares, while in Central Kalimantan there is a land of around 50,000 hectares," he concluded.
