Inp.polri.go.od – Jakarta. Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Inspector General M. There are hundreds of people who audaciously went outside Jakarta though homecoming is restricted in the last few weeks. “The insulation is excellent as it effectively reduces 50% of traffic flow to outside Jakarta from Jakarta,” he explained at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (14 May 2021). M. Fadil Imran said that there were 700 thousand vehicles out of Cikupa and West Cikarang Toll before homecoming was banned. Meanwhile, homecomers takes the train, and planes reached 300 thousand. “Based on the data I received from Directorate of Traffic Management before homecoming was banned, the number of vehicle in and out Cikupa and Cikarang Toll were around 700 thousand. While those who go by train and plane around 300 thousand and also there were one million people through toll gate as well as through airport and train station,” as explained by the Chief. In the last week during the homecoming ban, the two-star general mentioned that about 100-200 people audaciously went outside Jakarta. “The peak happened on the last week. My fellow journalist, you can also see there are 100 to 200 thousand people who audaciously choose to come home,” he explained. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Metropolitan Government and Municipality Police and Commander of Regional Military (Pangdam) had held a meeting to anticipate the reverse flow of Eid. The step taken was to randomly carry out the Covid-19 test at the entrance of Jakarta and monitor the homecomers at RT (neighbourhood level) and RW (hamlet level). “We need to take community-based prevention by effectively applying 3T, testing and tracing. We expect the Covid-19 situation in Jakarta is under control by early anticipating. We can keep it up together,” as explained by the Chief of Metro Jaya Regional Police.
