Chief of Intan Jaya Departmental Police Affirmed that Rumour of the Burned Down AirNav Office of Sugapa Airport is not True

inp.polri.go.id - Sugapa. Intan Jaya Departmental Police confirmed that the situation in Bilogai airport of Sugapa, Intan Jaya regency, is safe, controlled, and functioning well. Chief of Intan Jaya Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sandi Sultan, clarified that the news on October 29, 2021, which reported the burning of the AirNav office of Sugapa airport, is not true.

"I clarify that the burning airport news is not true, and the ones burning is ambulance, one water tank vehicle, and one private residence, in which it is not the people's house, but it is the shop close to the airport, so the AirNav building of the airport is still functioning well", Chief of Intan Jaya Departmental Police said in Sugapa on Monday, November 1, 2021.

Chief of Intan Jaya Departmental Police also explained that the public activities around the airport normally run thanks to the synergy between Armed Forces-Police.

"The civil activities have been secured, In Sectoral Police, Military Area Command, and also all churches in Intan Jaya regency, we secure them as well", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sandi Sultan said.

Besides, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sandi Sultan also encouraged the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) to surrender soon because their actions could not solve the problem but fuel more hatred and broken hearts.

"To my brothers and sisters, I still consider them (KKB) my brothers and sisters. Only that they need education, and they (KKB) only conducting criminal offences that may result in casualties", Chief of Intan Jaya Departmental Police said.

Chief of Departmental Police also gave an ultimatum to the KKB. If the diplomatic way cannot be used, the firmer way would be forced upon them.

"We always put diplomacy first. However, if they do not respond properly, we will take firmer actions", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sandi Sultan said.

As previously informed, the KKB on Friday (29/10/21) at 16.00 burned the AirNav office in the Sugapa airport complex, Intan Jaya regency, Papua.
