inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is handling the drought disaster in Boyolali Regency, Central Java by distributing clean water to the affected areas.

“As of now, there are still areas affected by the drought in Boyolali. Yesterday we deployed 14 water tanks to the location,” says the Acting Head of Boyolali Regency, Suratno, on Thursday (8/22/2024).

In his statement, he explains that the clean water distribution is given to several locations in Boyolali such as several villages in Juwangi district, Wonosegoro district, and Tamansari district.

“The water situation in those areas are concerning, thus we deliver them with clean water supplies,” said Suratno.

Furthermore, he says that each family will receive 7 liters of clean water supply, and that is only for drinking.

The government of Boyolali Regency also drilled wells in several villages in various districts, including Wonosegoro.

In his closing statement, he urged people to save water use and to share with others when they have abundant supplies.
