inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah, said that the employment trend continues to move towards green productivity, including in Indonesia.

Ida explains that the green productivity concept begins when the negative impact of climate change drives the need for sustainable development. Thus, green productivity became the strategic move to face the environmental challenges while also driving economic growth.

“The current employment and in the future will continue to move towards this integrated concept in various sectors to create environmentally friendly and sustainable employment opportunities," said Minister of Manpower Ida on Wednesday (8/14/24).

The transition towards green jobs needs to be supported, not only by the business world, but also from workers. Such as on how the International Labour Organization begins initiating a green jobs program as a form of support for sustainable development.

According to Minister Ida, the implementation of green productivity has been carried out in Indonesia by including sustainable development aspects in the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

“Several aspects within 2020-2024 RPJMN includes the development of the natural environment, improving disaster and climate change resilience as priorities to support a sustainable economy,” explains Ida.
