Inp.polri.go.id – Southeast Maluku. Fire incidents have destroyed Radiology and Medicines Build of Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital, in Southeast Maluku Regency, on Wednesday (10/4/2023). Vice Chief of Southeast Maluku Sub-regional Police, Commissioner Isac Resambessy says the incident occurred at 15:30. “The fire destroyed Pharmacy Room, Radiology and Medicine room, and old Laboratory room,” says Isac to media press on Wednesday. Seeing the fire getting more rampant, nurses tried to evacuate themselves and the patients out of the building. The patients that the nurses tried to evacuate ranging from infants to old people with IVs still attached to them. Most of them has to stay on the street as several others were evacuated to the library and halls. Receiving the reports, authorities sends eight fire trucks in effort to extinguish the fire, which Isac reports that the fire finally extinguished at 16:50. “Fire has been extinguished after more than an hour blazed. Thankfully the fire did not cause any fatalities,” said Isac. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
