inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi says that the government guarantees free speech for the people.

“The message that we want to convey is that we guarantee free speech for the people. Our democracy is very open,” says Head of PCO on Thursday (8/22/2024).

It is worth to note that recently people were gathering in front of the Indonesian parliament building to protest the ratification of the Draft Regional Election Law into law.

Highlighting the recent protest, Hasan notes that the government also wants the protest to go smoothly and peacefully, devoid of riots.

“We hope our roles in this democracy can be carried out in good ways. By also considering the good of others, we hope everyone is free from misinformation and hate speech,” wished PCO Chief.

Whatever it is, conducive situations are important so that public interest and the economic wheel would be uninterrupted.
